A poll conducted for the Montreal Gazette revealed that the vast majority of anglophone Quebecers will not vote for Coalition avenir Quebec because its acronym, "CAQ", sounds gross.
74% of anglophone respondents said that they had "no choice" but to vote Liberal. The poll revealed that most anglophones disagreed with PQ policies on sovereignty and Bill 101, while they would not vote for CAQ because its acronym reminded them of poo.
Even former ADQ supporters are turned off. "'Adequiste' sounded a bit like 'adequate', but 'CAQiste' just sounds disgusting," said one poll respondent.
