Our made-up stats more reliable than CAQ's, says Charest

Jean Charest fired a salvo today at Francois Legault, saying that the economic statistics made up by his finance department over the past nine years are more reliable than those of the Coalition avenir Quebec.

"Francois Legault's cost numbers on extending the school day and reducing taxes don't make sense," said Charest. "By our calculations, these promises would cost Quebecers three hundred trillion dollars.  And Legault's promises to raise revenue through oil and gas only amount to an additional seventy five dollars in revenue for the government."

Legault shot back, stating that corruption in Quebec's construction industry had cost the taxpayer "four quajillion dollars" is the past nine years.
