Trying to sway 450 area-code voters, Legault promises more "Achy Breaky Danse" on the radio

In his bid to sway voters in Quebec's vote-rich "450" area code in tomorrow's election, Coalition avenir Quebec leader Francois Legault promised to require Montreal area radio stations to play Stef Carse's "Achy Breaky Danse" more often.

Polling shows that the Achy Breaky Danse, mullets and strip clubs are the top priorities of 450-area voters in this election campaign.

Constitutional experts, however, doubted that Legault promise could be kept in reality.

"Radio telecommunication is a federal responsibility", said McGill law professor, Julius Grey.  "Also, requiring people to listen to the Achy Breaky Danse more often would constitute cruel and unusual treatment under section 12 of the Charter of Rights."
