MONTREAL -- A series of attack ads on Anarchopanda's seeming flip-flop on agricultural policy has taken its toll on his chances of becoming Québec's next premier, a recent CROP poll has shown.
The latest survey shows that the Liberal party and the Parti québecois have overtaken Anarchopanda and are not much more likely to form a government than the anarchic Chinese bear.
Anarchopanda's troubles began last week when the Liberals ran negative ads criticizing the bear's assumed policy of replacing corn with bamboo as a staple crop. When Anarchopanda responded that he instead favoured retaining corn in southern Québec, he was labelled a flip-flopper by the other parties.
"You can't tell where Anarchopanda stands on any issue," said CAQ leader Francois Legault. "What is that bear suit hiding? We don't know."
It was rumoured that Anarchopanda was considering withdrawing from the campaign altogether, but when asked for comment, we could not understand what he was saying from inside the bear suit.
