MONTREAL -- After ten days of campaigning, former Québec premier and Parti québécois leader Jacquest Parizeau is still trying to figure out how to most effectively derail the PQ's hopes for victory on April 7.
"I haven't given up," he told reporters outside a bar on Avenue du Parc. "I've just got to think of something. I have 20 more days."
After supporting the imaginary party, "Option nationale", in 2012 and criticizing the PQ's proposed "Values Charter" in 2013, Parizeau is hoping to complete his hat trick by ensuring that the PQ wins a minority at best.
"I want Québec to become a sovereign country, and the best way I can think of to do that is to make sure that the Parti québécois remains as unpopular as possible," said the former premier.
