L'ASSOMPTION -- Coalition avenir Québec leader François Legault keeps noticing travel magazines appearing on the chair in his riding office in L'Assomption.
The magazines, highlighting popular travel destinations, hotels and flight specials, have been showing up on his desk since polls showed the CAQ trailing in distant third and forecast to win half a dozen seats or less.
"I noticed these magazines showing up on my chair in February, but since the election has been called there are now almost ten a day," said Legault. "It's like someone's trying to send me a message or something."
Early magazines featured relatively close-distance travel destinations such as New York and Bermuda, which would be appropriate for a long weekend, but recently the magazines have featured much more distant travel destinations, such as Tahiti, Bora Bora and Thailand, suggesting that the sender feels Legault will soon have the opportunity for a much longer vacation.
