MONTREAL -- Believing that their high-profile candidacies would make them the center of attention throughout the election campaign, candidates Pierre Karl Péladeau and Dr. Gaétin Barrette called each other to keep themselves company while party officials and reporters ignored them.
"It's hard to go from stars last week to nobodies this week," said Péladeau to Barrette.
"I know -- at least in 2012, Legault spoke my name every 5 minutes. Couillard has already forgotten that I exist," said Barrette.
"Do you want to go skiing tomorrow?" asked Péleadeau.
"Mmm, not really, how about bowling?" asked Barrette.
"No." said Péladeau.
