Green Party urges environmentalist voters to vote QS, PQ

Reacting to an analysis by a coalition of environmental groups that stated that the platforms of Quebec solidaire and the Parti quebecois were more environmentally friendly than the Green Party, leader Claude Sabourin urged his supporters to vote for the more ecological parties.

"We support environmentally friendly policies, and obviously the other parties have better environmental policies than us, so I will be voting for them," said Sabourin. 

Sabourin did point out that his party was more environmentally friendly than the other parties in one way: as the Greens are only running in half of Quebec's ridings, they are not wasting as much ballot paper on their defeated candidates as the other parties.
