Marois promises to apply Bill 101 more strictly against self

On the campaign trail today, Pauline Marois promised to re-enforce Bill 101 more strictly against herself.

"My ability to speak English is getting to dangerously high levels that threaten Quebec's language and culture," said Marois in French.  "If I become able to put together whole thoughts and sentences together in English, our future as a nation is put in peril."

New measures that she planned to impose on herself included deprogramming Q92 from her car radio and to soundproof her West Island home to avoid overhearing neighbours' English conversations.
