Jacques Parizeau endorsed Jean-Martin Aussant with a $200 donation, as well as his wife Lisette Lapointe, tripling Option nationale's support base to three.
Option nationale is now the fastest growing political party in the Quebec elections, having tripled its support since the election call three weeks ago.
Jean-Martin Aussant said he hoped to get at least 25 votes in the upcoming election, which he would interpret as a mandate for independence.
