MONTRÉAL -- CAQ leader Fraçois Legault has blamed "40 years of alternating between PQ and Liberal governments" for the 2-0 loss by the Montreal Impact to the Seattle Sounders in its Major League Soccer home opener.
"We all saw how stale and unimaginative the Impact offence was in Saturday's game," said Legault. "How can this not be related to the stale and unimaginative governments that we have had since the 1970's?"
Legault also blamed the Olympic Stadium for the loss. "Why have governments kept the Olympic Stadium so bleak and depressing? It obviously had an "impact" on the players." He said, using one of his patented, hilarious play-on-words.
Québec solidaire semi-spokesleader Françoise David said that she had never heard of the Montreal Impact, or soccer.
