NOTRE-DAME-DE-GRACE -- With a new Léger-Le Devoir poll showing Québec voting intentions virtually identical to the election of 2012, the Québec Green Party has proposed that the ballot papers from 2012 be re-used.
"Reusing the ballots from 2012 instead of having everyone mark new ballots exactly as they did two years ago will save tens of thousands of trees worth of paper and millions of leaders of gas," said a spokesman for the Greens at a press briefing. "Knowing that the election will result in the same candidates getting elected as in 2012 will also save a lot of energy and materials from having to put up more election signs."
Reporters then left after realizing that Georges Laraque wasn't going to be at the briefing.
